Not Every Design Goes to Plan, But We Make It Right!
Even after years of making jewelry, some projects still push me to think differently. This is one such story about a close friend from Kuwait who asked me to create a custom bangle design within a strict 30g gold limit.
She had a design in mind, but as I began working on it, I realized the original concept was too bulky to fit within that weight without compromising on strength. Even after multiple attempts, it simply wouldn’t work safely or structurally.
I explained the challenge to her and suggested reworking the design. With her trust, I sat down and sketched a new concept a design drawn entirely by hand, tailored to meet both her vision and the weight restriction.
The result? A stunning, strong, and elegant bangle, all within 30 grams.
This project reminded me that true craftsmanship lies in balancing creativity with constraints. When done right, even limits can lead to something beautiful.
